I had the privilege of coaching G when she was just 11 or 12 years old, as she was first beginning her journey in hurdles. From the start, it was clear that she possessed something special, an uncommon drive and determination that set her apart from her peers.

It has been an absolute pleasure not only to coach her in those early years but also to follow her continued growth and success throughout high school. G is an exceptional young woman and an outstanding athlete. She has always demonstrated a remarkable work ethic—never afraid to put in the effort, even when training alone. Whether others were present or not, she remained focused and committed, showing a level of discipline rare for someone her age.

G consistently seeks improvement, welcomes feedback, and applies it immediately. Her tenacity and willingness to learn make her one of the most coachable athletes I have ever had the opportunity to train. I have no doubt that these qualities will continue to serve her well, both in her athletic career and in every aspect of her life.

Gabby is 100% dedicated to everything she does, especially in the way she trains and approaches her sport. She holds herself to a high standard of excellence, always striving to improve and never settling for “good enough.” Whether it’s asking thoughtful questions, seeking feedback, or giving her full effort in every session, Gabby consistently demonstrates the mindset of an athlete committed to being her very best. Coaching someone who not only welcomes correction but uses it to elevate her performance is truly rewarding.

Her positive attitude and contagious energy make her a joy to have on the field. Watching her grow not only as an athlete but also as a person, both on and off the field, has been incredibly rewarding. My hope for Gabby is that she continues to pursue her goals with the same passion, determination, and dedication to excellence that she brings to everything she does. I am deeply grateful to have been a part of her journey.

I had the privilege of teaching Gabby in elementary Physical Education, even at a young age, she stood out as an exceptional student and athlete. Gabby’s natural athletic ability is matched only by her incredible determination and work ethic. She consistently demonstrated focus, effort, and an eagerness to learn new skills, both in and out of the classroom; qualities that set her apart from her peers. Whether in individual skill work or team activities, Gabby approached every challenge with enthusiasm and a drive to improve. 

Beyond her athletic talent, Gabby was a true leader in class. She was the student I could always count on to set the tone for others, whether by demonstrating good sportsmanship, following directions, or modeling positive behavior. I often found myself saying things like, “I love how Gabby is (insert directions that were given),” because she truly led by example. Gabby’s teamwork skills were equally impressive. She worked well with everyone, bringing out the best in her classmates no matter what group or team she was placed on. Her focus was never about being on the best team, but about being the best for her team, which is a rare and admirable quality that speaks volumes about her character, especially at such a young age. 

I have no doubt that Gabby will continue to excel in whatever path she chooses. She has the drive, determination, and heart to succeed both on and off the field and classroom, and I am confident she will make a positive impact to any community she joins, just as she did ours.

Gabby is an extraordinary individual—not only academically, but also athletically, and in every aspect of her life.
